Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) is a group of inherited eye disease. Multiple mutations have been described to cause PRA. PRA has been described in golden retrievers (prcd-PRA and GR-PRA1), what mutation is the cause of this disease in golden retrievers is yet to be discovered. The TTC8 gene has been associated with PRA in golden retrievers.
Caratteristiche cliniche
Cecità notturna, perdita della visione periferica. Perdita degenerativa della visione centrale e infine cecità completa.
